Simply Delicious had been around for almost 20 years, most of its time at the 160 N. Main Street location. I purchased Simply Delicious in May, 2007, and stayed at the 160 N. Main Street location for two years. In July, 2009, I moved Simply Delicious to the historic Pinsly Depot Train Station in Depot Square.So who are Ellie & Shirl?
Born in 1960, I was blessed to be the 4th child of Charles and Ellen McCarthy, two of the most amazing parents you can imagine. My sister Donna McCarthy Lord, was blessed to marry Kevin Lord, who had the most incredible mother, Shirley, who was a wonderful influence for me after I lost my Mom in January, 1996. Shirley passed on in September 2004.In memory of these two extraordinary ladies, who were both very influential in my life, I decided to name the store after the two of them. They were both very helpful and accommodating, loved to laugh, and were always very enjoyable to be around. That is exactly the type of environment we have tried to create here at the store –helpful and accommodating. We certainly love to laugh and we believe that our store is one that is very enjoyable.Our new location allows us the ability to display all our various items in a most inviting atmosphere, while providing ample parking, and the ability to accommodate visiting bus tours. At Ellie & Shirl's Simply Delicious, we take great pride in our personal service. Each and every customer is very important to us.
